First-Year Eva Catalanotto Recognized as GNAC Rookie of the Week
WESTON, Mass. — Regis College first-year Eva Catalanotto (Cheshire, Mass.) has earned her first career Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week honor, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Catalanotto had a big weekend in her home state, helping the Pride to a 2-1 record. She finished with 17 kills on a .481 hitting percentage in GNAC play, highlighted by 10 kills against Simmons and seven more on a .778 attack percentage in a sweep of Mitchell.
Across three matches, the first-year outside hitter totaled 18 kills, four digs, two blocks, and 25.5 points, averaging 2.5 points per set.
Catalanotto and the Pride return to action on Wednesday, September 17, when they host Salve Regina University at 6 p.m. in Higgins Court.
