After falling to the Falcons 6-3 in game one, the Pride mounted a late comeback in the seventh inning of game two, tying the game and sending it into extra innings. Regis then claimed an 8-7 victory to cap off the day.

 Game One:

  • After a quiet first inning, the Falcons took control in the second with a double by Mikaela Scwhippert and a walk from Karla Carangelo. A double down the left-field line brought in one run, and a sacrifice bunt and sac fly scored two more to give Albertus a 3-0 lead.

  • A Falcons' error brought in two more runs for Regis, tying the game 3-3 with two outs.

  • After three scoreless innings, the Falcons broke the tie in the top of the seventh with a line drive to center field to take a 4-3 lead. With a runner on third and two outs, Lexi Nichols (Granby, Conn.) made a key play, scooping a throw to first to end the threat.

  • In extra innings, the Falcons capitalized, scoring three runs to secure a 6-3 victory.

Game Two:

  • In the top of the third, the Falcons loaded the bases, and Scwhippert delivered again with a single to center. Karla Carangelo followed with a double to bring in two more, extending the lead to 3-0. A wild pitch added another, and a double brought in two more, pushing the Falcons' lead to 6-0.

  • Bianca Burke (Cambridge, Mass.) earned the Pride's first hit with a double in the third, setting up Chloe Beland (Southborough, Mass.) for a two-run single, closing the gap to 6-2.

  • The Pride kept fighting in the fifth, as Nichols and Lynsey Kay (Bellingham, Mass.) hit back-to-back doubles to bring the score to 6-4 after Kay scored thanks to a wild pitch.

  • In the top of the seventh, Albertus started with a run of its own, however, Regis answered with three of its own runs, tying it up 7-7.

  • In extra innings, with a runner on second, Abby Erickson (Worcester, Mass.) came through with a single to right-center, bringing in Grace Motto (Wareham, Mass.) for the game-winning run, securing an 8-7 victory for Regis.
