Trio of Nagaraj, Kim, and Werner Lead Pride in Dominant Halloween Win Over Plymouth State

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's swimming and diving team dominated on Halloween night, earning a decisive 140-48 victory over Plymouth State University in Weston, Massachusetts. The Pride were paced by Aryaman Nagaraj (Watertown, Mass.), Ryan Kim (Los Angeles, Calif.), and Cody Werner (Bettendorf, Iowa), who combined for nine first-place finishes and several personal- and season-best performances.

Nagaraj set the tone for the Pride, sweeping his individual events. He opened the meet with a win in the 50-yard backstroke, posting a season-best time of 28.17, then followed with another season best in the 50 freestyle (23.70). He capped off his night with a personal-best 1:00.26 to take first in the 100 backstroke.

Kim continued Regis's momentum with three more victories. He claimed the top spot in the 50 breaststroke with a season-best 29.00, added a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.37), and closed the night with a personal-best 58.51 in the 100 individual medley—a time that moves him into 10th on the program's all-time list.

Werner rounded out the trio of leaders with a dominant showing in the butterfly and freestyle events. He captured first in the 100 butterfly by nearly five seconds (55.46), added a win in the 50 butterfly (25.44), and secured another victory in the 100 freestyle (52.35).

In relay action, Gavin Olsen (South Portland, Maine) recorded his fastest 50 freestyle of the season (24.60) as he teamed up with Josh Dion (Weston, Mass.), Nagaraj, and Andrew Martin (Raynham, Mass.) to finish the 200 freestyle relay in 1:42.26.

On the diving boards, Michael Zammuto narrowly edged out Josh Dion in both events. Zammuto claimed first in the five-dive competition with 138.90 points, just ahead of Dion's 138.85, and again in the six-dive segment with 164.85 points, followed by Dion at 146.10.

The Pride return to action on Friday, November 7, when they travel to Standish, Maine, to face Saint Joseph's College at 6 p.m.
