Men's Track and Field Spend Saturday at Silfen Invitational
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Regis College men's track and field took to New London, Connecticut this rainy Saturday for the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.
Track Events:
- Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.) placed ninth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.64, then joined Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.), Ben Myette (Hanson, Mass.), and Brian LaPorte (Bridgewater, Mass.) to help the 4x400m relay team secure a fourth-place finish (3:46.91).
Field Events:
- Caleb Russo (Brookfield, N.H.) secured a fifth-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 44.9m.
- In the triple jump, the Pride had two top-ten finishes—Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) placed fifth with a leap of 12.30m, while Jalen Jones followed in ninth at 10.98m. Thuotte also claimed seventh in the high jump, clearing 1.65m.
Up Next:
The Pride will have two weeks to regroup before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships at Colby Sawyer College on April 26th and 27th.
