Regis Wraps Up Outdoor Season at New England Championships
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Regis College Men's Track & Field was represented by two individuals and one relay team at the New England Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, hosted by the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Caleb Russo (Brookfield, N.H.) delivered a standout performance in the javelin, setting a new personal best with a throw of 53.84 meters to earn a 13th-place finish in the region. Later that day, Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) placed 20th in the long jump with a mark of 6.48 meters.
The following day, the 4x400-meter relay team—comprised of Zachary Olayiwole (Marlborough, Mass.), Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.), Brian LaPorte (Bridgewater, Mass.), and Kenderson Pierre (Everett, Mass.) —closed out the weekend by clocking a time of 3:41.95.
