Courtney Duggan Steps Down as Regis College Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College Athletics announced today that women's lacrosse head coach Courtney Duggan has stepped down from her position to pursue a new career opportunity in recreational administration. Duggan, the all-time winningest coach in program history, leaves behind a legacy of both competitive success and academic achievement.

Duggan, who was set to enter her 12th season at the helm in 2025-26, also served as interim head coach of the Pride field hockey team during the fall 2021 season. During her tenure, she guided Regis women's lacrosse to:

  • 4 Conference Championships (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017)

  • 3 NCAA Tournament Appearances (2015, 2016, 2017)

  • 31 All-Conference Honorees and 21 All-Tournament Team selections

  • 94 Academic All-Conference recipients, 4 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees, and 8 Regis-Casserly Award winners

She also coached numerous standout student-athletes, including:

  • Grace Politis (2015 Conference Player of the Year)

  • Meghan Sargent (2019 Conference Defender of the Year)

  • Four Goalkeepers of the Year (2014, 2016, 2018, 2019)

  • Kerri Anselmo (2017 Rookie of the Year)

Duggan herself was a four-time Conference Coach of the Year (2014, 2015, 2017, 2019) and the 2014 IWLCA Pilgrim Region Coach of the Year. She reached a historic milestone on April 6, 2024, when she secured her 100th career victory in a win over Elms College.

Duggan leaves behind a program defined by both competitive success and academic achievement, and her impact will continue to shape the future of Regis women's lacrosse.
