Regis Men’s Soccer Slotted Seventh in GNAC Preseason Poll

GNAC RELEASE

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's soccer team has been selected to finish seventh in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the league office earlier this week. The Pride earned 89 points in the voting among the conference's 13 teams.

Offensively, Regis will look for Nolan McMahon (White River Junction, Vt.) and Haroun Mafhoum (Bellingham, Mass.) to build on their success from last season, when McMahon totaled 11 points and Mafhoum added nine. In net, sophomore Chris Alcon (Cartagena, Spain ) looks to build on an impressive rookie campaign in which he posted a .747 save percentage and registered two shutouts, earning GNAC Rookie of the Week honors twice.

The Pride welcome five newcomers to the roster this fall as the program aims to strengthen its depth and compete within a challenging GNAC slate.

Regis opens the 2025 season on the road at Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Saturday, August 30, with kickoff scheduled for noon. Conference play begins two weeks later when the Pride travel to New England College to face the Pilgrims at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13.
