Pride Return to Gordon for Pop Crowell Invitational
WENHAM, Mass. – After opening the season at Gordon College two weeks ago, the Regis College women's cross country team returned to Wenham on Saturday to compete in the Fighting Scots' annual Pop Crowell Invitational. The Pride placed 10th overall in a competitive field featuring programs from the Commonwealth Coast Conference, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, and the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
Aubrey Heise (Mattapoisett, Mass.) led the way for Regis, finishing in 53rd place with a time of 27:26.79. Close behind was Jonnie Charest (Methuen, Mass.) at 27:49.79, followed by Lindsey Ferris (Fairfax, Vt.) (30:00.96) and Olivia Mmamelu (Waltham, Mass.) (30:39.99), rounding out the team's top finishers.
The Pride return to action next Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
