Kamdyn Tenorio Named GNAC WVB Libero of Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - Senior Kamdyn Tenorio (Irvine, Calif.) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Volleyball Libero of the Week after helping Regis College to a 3-0 record, including its first league victory of the season.

For the week, Tenorio averaged 6.6 digs per set as she helped the Pride to three victories away from home. Last Tuesday at Wellesley College, she finished with 19 digs and four assists as Regis swept the previously unbeaten Blue.

In Saturday's tri-match at Norwich University, Tenorio started with 19 digs, two assists, and one service ace during the Pride's 3-0 victory over the Cadets. She went on to average seven digs per set against MCLA, accumulating a season-high 28 digs along with four assists and three service aces as Regis defeated the Trailblazers, 3-1.

For the season, Tenorio leads the GNAC and is 49th in Division III in total digs with 181, plus she is 104th in the country in digs per set (4.53). In addition, she is second in the league and 16th in Division III in total service aces with 29 and 87th in Division III in aces per set (0.73).

Regis College (8-3, 1-0 GNAC) heads to Worcester, Mass., to face WPI Tuesday, Sept. 17, starting at 6 p.m. The Pride will then host Elms College and New England College in a GNAC tri-match Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 11 a.m.
