GNAC Commissioner's Cup Results Announced
GNAC RELEASE
WINTHROP, Mass. --The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the final results of the 2024 Commissioner's Cup, with Regis College placing fifth on the men's side and eleventh in the women's standings.
The men's fifth-place finish was driven by consistent team performances across multiple sports. Men's Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field, along with Men's Swimming & Diving, each earned runner-up finishes at their respective GNAC Championship meets—contributing four points apiece.
Several individual GNAC champions played key roles in these team efforts:
-

-
Ryan Sweeney (Lynn, Mass.) – Shot Put (Indoor & Outdoor)
-
Aiden Charles (Lowell, Mass.) – Weight Throw (Indoor), Hammer Throw (Outdoor)
-
Justin Thuotte (Lebanon, Conn.) – Long Jump (Outdoor)
-
Liam Austin (Boston, Mass.) – 1-Meter and 3-Meter Diving
Men's Volleyball added three points to the total following a program-record 20-win season that included a GNAC Semifinal appearance. Men's Cross Country and Men's Soccer each earned two points after qualifying for their respective postseason tournaments.
On the women's side, nine of the Pride's eleven varsity programs qualified for GNAC postseason play, contributing two points to the overall total. While individual progress may not be fully captured in the Commissioner's Cup scoring, many women's programs achieved significant milestones, with several student-athletes etching their names into the Regis record books.
