GNAC Preseason Poll Sets Stage for Regis Men’s Cross Country Championship Push

FULL GNAC RELEASE

WESTON, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its Men's Cross Country Pre-Championship Poll this afternoon, with Regis College earning a sixth-place ranking and 52 points, finishing just one point shy of cracking the top five.

The GNAC Championship is set for Sunday, November 2, at Norwich University — a familiar course for the Pride, who competed there earlier this season.

Leading the way for Regis are Brian LaPorte (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Nathan Thomas (Medford, Mass.). LaPorte led the team during their first visit to Norwich with a time of 35:14.4, while Thomas has been consistently among the top two finishers for the Pride throughout the year. They anchor a youthful lineup that includes four first-year runners, while junior Kederson Pierre (Everett, Mass.) provides key veteran leadership as the squad's lone upperclassman, continuing to improve his times over the past three 8Ks.

The Pride are eager to leave their mark at the GNAC Championships this weekend. With a blend of youthful energy and steady performances, they aim to move into the top tier of the conference and highlight the growth of their program over the season.
