WESTON, Mass. – After impressive performances at the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) Pentathlon, Josh Dion, Christina Dupre-Honda (Brookline, Mass.), and Sophia Caruso (Haverhill, Mass.) all earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors. Dion and Dupre-Honda were named Divers of the Week, while Caruso collected Rookie of the Week recognition.
On the boards, Dion represented the Pride with a score of 137.40, improving on his sophomore-year debut by 17.4 points. The effort earned him his second consecutive GNAC Diver of the Week award.
Dupre-Honda continued her dominance on the diving board, claiming first place in the diving portion of the Pentathlon with a score of 183.30, a commanding 34.6 points ahead of the runner-up.
In the pool, Caruso led the Pride with a strong showing, finishing 11th overall with a total time of 3:17.57, just 0.48 seconds shy of cracking the top ten. She also posted a personal best in the 50 Freestyle (25.25), moving up to ninth all-time in program history. The rookie adds this week's honor to her Swimmer of the Week recognition from last week.
The Pride return to action this Saturday, October 25, when they travel to Norwich University for their next meet.
