Pride Ranked Eighth in GNAC Preseason Poll, Set Sights on Postseason Return

FULL GNAC RELEASE

WESTON, Mass. – As announced this afternoon by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), the Regis College men's basketball team has been ranked eighth in the 2025-26 GNAC Preseason Coaches' Poll with 71 points, just five behind Mitchell College, which claimed seventh place. Saint Joseph's College of Maine topped the poll, receiving 12 first-place votes, while Albertus Magnus earned the remaining first-place vote and placed third overall.

The Pride aim to turn heads this season with a balanced roster featuring experienced returners and talented newcomers. Leading the way is Aamyr Sullivan (Middletown, N.Y.), coming off a stellar rookie campaign in which he averaged 11.0 points, a team-high 4.8 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. Providing veteran leadership are seniors Jamir Harvey, the team's top returning scorer from last season with 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, and Gehrig Brynda (Deerfield, Mass.), who led the team from beyond the arc, shooting 34.6% from three-point range and hitting five three-pointers in four different contests.

Alongside the veteran core, the Pride welcome a talented group of four newcomers, adding depth and energy to the lineup.

Regis opens the 2025-26 campaign on Monday, November 10, with a road matchup against former GNAC rival Anna Maria College. The Pride will remain on the road before hosting Plymouth State University in their home opener on November 18 at 7 p.m. Their non-conference slate features a competitive regional lineup including Endicott College, Johnson & Wales (R.I.), and Bridgewater State University, as well as a trip to Nashville, Tennessee, where they'll face Franklin College and St. Mary's (Md.) prior to the new year.

The Pride will also take on Division I Holy Cross in an exhibition game on December 9, a valuable test before opening GNAC play against Albertus Magnus on Saturday, January 10.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Nate Hager, now entering his 19th season at the helm, the Pride look to blend veteran experience with emerging talent to make a statement in GNAC play. After narrowly missing the postseason a year ago, Regis is determined to find itself back in the playoff conversation this season.
