Pride Traveled to Bridgewater State for Bears Invitational

MEET RESULTS

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Regis College men's track and field traveled to Bridgewater, Massachusetts today to compete in the Bridgewater State University Bears Invitational.

Inside the Numbers:

  • On the track, Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished sixth in the 400m dash (54.79), while Brian LaPorte (Bridgewater, Mass.) secured third in the 800m run with a time of 2:08.97. Aiden Charles (Lowell, Mass.) rounded out the track event with a seventh place finish in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.67.
  • In the jumps, first-year Jalen Jones placed tenth in the long jump with a leap of 5.47m.
  • The throws saw multiple top finishes for the Pride. Ryan Sweeney earned fifth in the shot put (11.92m) and sixth in the discus (34.01m) to mark a personal best, while Aiden Charles followed with a ninth-place discus throw (32.50m) and went on to take third in the hammer throw (38.63m).
  • In the same hammer event, Ed Power and Sweeney placed fifth (34.67m) and sixth (34.35m), respectively.
  • Caleb Russo (Brookfield, N.H.) and Liam Austin (Boston, Mass.) rounded out the field events with fifth- and sixth-place finishes in the javelin, throwing 45.91m and 44.96m.

The Pride will head to Connecticut College tomorrow for the Silfen Invitational.
