Cook Featured on All-GNAC Sportsmanship Team

WINTHROP, Mass. — The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its 2025 Men's Lacrosse postseason awards, with senior Brendan Cook (Billerica, Mass.) earning a spot on the All-GNAC Sportsmanship Team as the Pride's representative.

A four-year member of the program, Cook started all 14 games he played in this season, tallying 37 points on 27 goals and 10 assists. He recorded a season-high five goals against Salem State and notched multiple goals in six different games. Cook's impact extended beyond the field as a respected teammate and leader.

This marks Cook's first career All-GNAC postseason honor. Earlier this month, he also received the prestigious Regis-Casserly Award—the department's highest recognition—given annually to student-athletes who exemplify excellence in academics, leadership, service, and athletic performance.

Head Coach Scott Kessler praised Cook's all-around character and leadership:

"Brendan Cook exemplifies everything you want in a player, a teammate, and a student. He is dependable in every situation. You can count on him when things get tough both on and off the field. Brendan handles all the responsibilities of a student-athlete and a captain with integrity and a level-headedness that sets him apart, truly leading by example.

Cook is the type of teammate everyone gravitates toward. He is approachable—always smiling and constantly uplifting those around him. He shows up every single day ready to put in the work and is never afraid to get his hands dirty. Even while battling the adversity of injuries, he never wavered as a leader."
