Men's Soccer Power Past Mariners, 6-1
WESTON, Mass. -- On October 15, 2025, the Regis College men's soccer team delivered a commanding win over Mitchell, securing a decisive 6-1 victory at home. Regis improved their conference record to 5-3.
For the Pride, their offense was lead by graduate student Michael Champagne (Wellesley, Mass.) with two goals, additionally, Nolan McMahon (White River Junction, Vt.), Joey Davila (Bristol, Conn.), Reynaldo Bautista (Miami, Fla.) each added a goal a piece.
How it Happened
The game kicked off with Regis finding the back of the net early on. Bautista opened the scoring in the seventh minute with an assist from Nolan McMahon. Haroun Mafhoum (Bellingham, Mass.) would double the lead in the 20th minute, with an unassisted goal.
Champagne's first goal of the match would come in the 35th minute off of a corner, assisted by Agu Silva-Olivera, giving Regis a comfortable 3-0 going into halftime.
The second half saw Regis continue their offensive dominance. Champagne netted his second goal in the 55th minute, assisted by Joey Davila. Davila then scored in the 59th minute, with an assist from Juan Pablo Chavarria (Revere, Mass.), extending the lead to 5-0. Nolan McMahon capped off the scoring for Regis in the 78th minute, assisted by Sebastian Ortiz (Carolina, Puerto Rico). Mitchell managed to pull one back, with Sean Khan scoring their lone goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Jose Pacheco.
