WESTON, Mass. - Continuing an annual tradition, the Regis College athletic department is proud to recognize a record 127 Pride student-athletes for academic excellence in celebration of NCAA Division III Week and National Student-Athlete Day.

Unfortunately, due to on-campus protocols, an in-person Academic Excellence Ceremony is not possible this year. The athletic administration still wanted to honor the following sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 through the Fall 2020 semester. 

National Student-Athlete Day was created in 1987 by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports. It was established to promote the positive virtues of sport, student-athletes as a whole, and the positive aspect they both have on society.

The NCAA established Division III Week to highlight Division III as a place where student-athletes can follow their passions and develop their potential through an approach that combines rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and opportunities to pursue other interests. 

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports within NCAA Division III and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).
