Mazo Nabs Goalkeeper of the Week Honors
WINTHROP, Mass. – After anchoring the defense in net during the Pride's 10-6 victory over Lasell University, Daniela Mazo (Bridgeport, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, marking the first weekly award of her career.
The Connecticut native made 11 saves in Sunday's divisional win, including six in the second half, helping hold the Lasers to just one goal after halftime to secure the victory.
Mazo and the Regis College women's lacrosse team return to action this Wednesday, April 16, when they host Albertus Magnus at Regis Stadium. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m.
