Women's Lacrosse Shuts Out Mitchell 18-0

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Regis College Women's Lacrosse secured a dominant 18-0 shutout victory over Mitchell College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup at Alumni Field on Wednesday, marking the team's first shutout win in over eight years.

How It Happened:

  • The Pride offense came out strong, jumping to an 11-0 lead in the first half.

  • Regis continued its dominance in the second half, scoring four goals in the third quarter.

  • Serenity Ayala (North Brookfield, Mass.), Molly Higgins (Weymouth, Mass.), and Maddie Sainato (Wilmington, Mass.) each completed hat-tricks.

  • The Pride finished the game with three unanswered goals in the final quarter to seal the 18-0 shutout victory.

Inside the Numbers:

  • 11 players contributed to the scoring effort with at least one goal.

  • Paige Ritchie (Peabody, Mass.) set a career-high with two goals.

  • Kim Avalo (North Attleboro, Mass.) and Brynn Foster (Londonderry, N.H.) each scored their first collegiate goals.

  • Allayna Martone (Elkridge, Md.) made two saves to pick up her first collegiate shutout.
