Pride Draws Tie with Chargers

WESTON, Mass. – After a scoreless first half, Regis College finished in a 1-1 draw against Colby Sawyer in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Regis Stadium.

As the match moved into the 53rd minute, Avary Hall (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) gained possession and was able to gather the ball while in stride, using her speed and footwork to get ahead of the Chargers defense. From inside the box, Hall took a shot, finding the back of the net for the first goal of the match.

The Chargers increased its offensive pressure, highlighted by two shots from Bridget O'Connell that were too wide following the Pride goal.

Calidonio was credited with five saves on six shots. Each goalkeeper was credited with the tie.
