BRIGHTON, Mass. -- Sienna Santiago (Brewster, N.Y.) scored twice to lead the Regis College women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Simmons University on Saturday afternoon at Daly Field. The victory improved the Pride's record to 5-7-2 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play.

How it Happened
The Simmons offense managed just one shot in the opening minutes of the first half, but the rest of the period belonged to the Pride. Regis controlled possession, generating 10 shots and seven corner kicks. Simmons goalkeeper Lauren Sanchez turned away three attempts, while the rest missed the target, sending the teams into halftime locked in a scoreless tie.
Santiago broke through just two minutes into the second half, finding the back of the net in the 47th minute off a pass from Meadow Comerio to put the Pride ahead 1-0. She struck again 13 minutes later, doubling the lead after a setup from Andrea Perez-Olivero. From there, Regis maintained control, holding Simmons without a shot and cruising to a 2-0 victory over the Sharks.
